Think again McCain!

On Wednesday 16 April 2008, I took Rayner to the Johannesburg Planetarium. The Johannesburg Planetarium has an interesting history as the Zeiss Planetarium was procured in 1958 from the City of Hamburg. Previously this unit had been in use since 1930 in Hamburg. I had never been to the Planetarium before, but sat with the kids and watched with equal excitement as they were exposed to the stars, planets and space. WOW!
We live in a third world country and yes 80% of the audience at the Planetarium was black. That same night in the presidential debate in the USA, a first world country, one of the candidates made derisive remarks about planetaria! Are the constituents of the land of the brave, who put men on the moon, hill billy technologists?
The unit in Johannesburg is older than McCain and went through a world war. It and it's cousins around the world deserve more respect.

Fifty-fourth myth: McCain would be bad news for technologists!
